MIAMI BEACH
Miami Beach’s Lakeview neighborhood gets anywhere from 500 to 1,000 trick-or-treaters. Police are closing off the neighborhood to cars between Alton Road, 51st Street and Lakeview Drive from 6 to 8:30 p.m
“Hallowave” on Washington Avenue: a fun filled family Halloween spectacular along the 1 mile stretch of Washington Avenue between 5th – 17th.
Hallowave is a place for children to Trick or Treat at over 200 hotels, restaurants, and retailers. Twenty-four Superheroes (Superman, Batman, Wonder Women, Elsa…) will be stationed along both sides of the themed streets. Not to be excluded, dogs will take center stage and display their panache in a Dog Costume Contest.
CORAL GABLES
In Coral Gables, police plan to close Palermo Avenue between the 600 and 700 blocks and Santa Maria Street and limit access to Cocoplum.
SOUTH MIAMI
Near South Miami, the High Pines neighborhood (between Southwest 72nd Street and 80th Street) is another popular spot.
The City of South Miami will hold a Safe Streets Halloween Trick or Treating event on Oct. 31 from 4-7 p.m. on Sunset Drive (SW 72nd Street) between US 1 and Red Road (57th Avenue). The event is free and will feature free candy, games, prizes, and music.
MIAMI SHORES
The area east of Biscayne Boulevard off Northeast 96th Street attracts a lot of trick-or-treaters. The Bayside neighborhood east of Biscayne between Northeast 69th and 72nd Streets is another favorite.
