Wings of the Tropics
If you have a nature lover on your hands and looking for opportunities to share and teach your child about life cycle – in a very elementary way, than you may be interested to hear in a new program being offered at The Fairchild Gardens.
Each weekend, children and families are encouraged to engage with highly trained volunteers during your visit to the Wings of the Tropics exhibit at the All About Butterflies Discovery Cart. Your family will learn about the butterfly lifecycle and interact with volunteers who will explain the various anatomical and biological features of the Lapidoptera family- say that 10x Fast!!
This is a year round program , runs from 9:30am-4:30pm every weekend.
The Wings of the Tropics Exhibit is a tropical wonderland of hundreds of butterflies, moths, hummingbirds, unusual plants and a stream in the Wings of the Tropics at Fairchild! There are butterfly releases twice daily where kids of all ages will have a chance to experience these winged wonders up close.
