Free Kids Summer Reading Programs Guide 2023! | The Miami Moms

Want to keep your kids reading over the summer? How about joining a free reading program this summer! We’ve gathered a list of Free Summer Reading Programs for kids to join and some even offer rewards!

Earn a free book through the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program for kids in Grades 1-6. They simply read a designated number of books – library books, books borrowed from friends or books bought at Barnes & Noble – write about their favorite part in our Reading Journal, and bring a completed Reading Journal to a Barnes & Noble bookstore. Children then choose their free book from the books listed on the Reading Journal and collect their free book from a store near them during July and August.

Parents, join Camp BOOK IT! and keep rewarding your kids all summer long. Track and reward your kids’ reading for June, July and August in their digital dashboard. When your kids meet their monthly reading goal, they’ll receive a free one-topping Personal Pan Pizza® from Pizza Hut! Camp BOOK IT! also share fun activities and book recommendations each week to keep the fun going throughout the summer!

Keep your kids bookworm skills strong with this reading rewards chart for kids. The more they read, the more rewards they can earn. Chuck E. Cheese has a Reading Rewards program where kids can earn 10 free Chuck E. Cheese play points for reading each day for 2 weeks. This reading program goes on all year.

Read for fun and prizes this summer! Every 30 minutes you spend reading or listening to a book earns you an entry into a prize drawing at the end of the challenge. The more you read, the greater your chances of winning! eBooks, eAudiobooks, comic books, magazines, reading to your child – all reading counts. All ages can participate. Join the challenge today through August 14!

The Scholastic Summer Reading program offers kids an exciting, free, and safe summer reading experience, while helping to provide books to kids with limited or no access over the summer, keeping every child reading. Now through September 7th, kids can visit the summer zone in Scholastic Home Base, a completely free digital destination which offers stories, characters, games, and a community of readers. Home Base is moderated for safety 24/7.
