Meet a Mom: Natella Khaleel | The Miami Moms

This week’s Meet a Mom interview is with Natella Khaleel, co-owner and founder of Bingbong events, a kid’s event company. This mom of two recently moved to Miami after living 9 years in Manhattan. She is also working on the Coconut Grove Moms Club, which is dedicated to women in the Grove and around. We spoke to Natella about her career, family life and more.

Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?

I’m originally from France, but I moved to the States 10 years ago. I just moved to Coconut Grove with my husband and kids a year ago after spending 9 years in Manhattan.

Why did you decide to move and raise your family here?

Covid put everything into perspective for us. After spending most of the pandemic in Palm Beach, we decided that it would be the best move for our family to live in Florida. I think it’s a wonderful place to raise your kids and there are so many things to do outdoors.

How many kids do you have and what are their ages?

I have two boys, Kenzo who is 4 years old and Senna who’s 2 years old.

What’s been your favorite “mommy moment” so far?

I don’t think I have a “favorite” moment. I really enjoy it all. Seeing them grow and learn everyday is so rewarding to me.

What do you love about living in Miami?

I love the warm weather. It’s such a mood booster to wake up and see blue sky everyday. It also allows us to do so much more fun things outdoors with the kids.

What’s your favorite thing to do when you need some “me time”?

I love to work out. I find it very relaxing so it’s the first thing I try to do when I have some “me time”.

Tell us about your businesses.

I’m the co-owner and founder of a kid’s event company with my friend Rose Moran called Bingbong events. We also recently started Coconut Grove Moms Club, it’s dedicated to women in the Grove and around. We want to support women business owners, moms and mamas-to-be. Our meetings are all about connecting and supporting each other but also enjoying the time off and having fun for a few hours away from the kids. We also created a website that posts weekly about different topics. It’s a great resources for parents!

Join us at our monthly events. Everyone is welcome! and please follow us at @coconutgrovemomsclub – @bingbongevents

How do you juggle your business with mom life?

It’s very difficult to be honest. I try to spend most of my time working when the kids are at school and enjoy them when they are at home but it doesn’t always work out that way, especially when I’m busy planning events.

What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?

It’s kinda funny and strange, mostly strange but when I speak I CANNOT hear my accent and ask around me people will tell you they can barely understand what I say because of my STRONG french enunciation.

What’s the best piece of advice you would give to another Miami mom?

Be kind to yourself and others. Remain patient even when life (or the kids) get hard! Also my favorite “Good things take time!”
