Strawberry U-Pick Farms in Miami | The Miami Moms

Strawberry season is in full swing in South Florida and many farms have opened their fields for strawberry picking. This is such a fun activity to do with your family, especially your little ones. We have curated a list of farms to go enjoy strawberry picking this season below. Have fun!!

 

U-pick Strawberries season opens every January at Family Farms! General admission is free, you just have to pay for what you pick. There are many other fresh produce for purchase, like corn, avocado, cucumber, plantain, pineapple, mango and fresh squeezed orange juice. You could also enjoy the exciting pony rides, petting zoo, and hayrides. Additionally, every Friday and Saturday night, you can relish the Farm-life around a warm bonfire, with roasted marshmallows, BBQ, and fresh local food. These nights will be full of live music and entertainment, karaoke, exhilerating line dancing, and so much more!

Knaus Berry Farm is open seasonally from November through mid-April. They have U-Pick strawberries and tomatoes, availability permitting that the fruit is ripe. Always best to call 305-247-0668 before heading out. They also have a market with assorted baked goods, their famous cinnamon rolls, honey, jams, jellies, vegetables, herbs, shakes and ice cream.

At Martha’s u-pick, the large ten acres of land, provide an ample amount of space for selecting your finest strawberries. The great thing about this farm is that you don’t only pick strawberries, you have many other options to pick other produce as well. They have two different types of kale, four different types of eggplants, cauliflower, scallions, zucchini, four different types of tomato, and the list goes on!  Here you can enjoy the experience of picking fruits and vegetables at its freshest.

At the Strawberry Fields of Kendall, you can stop at one of their three locations and pick strawberries or stock up on fresh produce. They have eggplants, different types of tomatoes, bell peppers, poblano peppers, hot peppers, zucchini, corn, lettuce, kale, onions, and much more!

In addition to Strawberry picking, there is so much to do at the The Berry Farm. They have an amazing sunflower field, where you can pick sunflowers. Both strawberry and sunflower picking are included with your admission, you just need to pay for what you pick. You can also enjoy many activities, like the 24-piece obstacle course, a shaded kangroo jumper (giant bounce floor), a shaded wooden playground area, two corn pits, a 15,000 sq ft artificial turf field for running and playing sports, stacked hay barrels for climbing, and hayrides. They also have a juice and smoothie bar, an ice cream shop, a farmers market with fresh produce and many other items!
